Fresher's Week

Assalamu'alaikum everyone!!!

It's been a while and only now have something exciting is coming up for our fellow Bruneians in York. It has been a busy week with the committee members helping out the Bruneian freshers as well as all the committee members' unpacking that needs to be done. T.T

But alas! Two upcoming events that fellow members should anticipate at the end of this week; Fresher's Fair and also Hari Raya Haji Celebration & Fresher's Welcoming Event.

Please do come to the Fresher's Fair and sign up to be an official member of BruYork Society. Our booth will be somewhere in Roger Kirk's Centre in James college. The sign up fee is only £4 :D (and we'd really appreciate it if everyone brought the exact change XD). Fresher's Fair is on 4th October 2014 and we'll be there from 10am to 4pm :)

You may or may not know that Hari Raya Haji is falling on the 4th of October this year but the committee decided to celebrate Hari Raya Haji on the 5th of October, combining the event with Fresher's Welcoming Event (Game Night). The celebration will be at 92 Hull Road and the event starts with maghrib prayer so please come a little before maghrib. This is a potluck event so feel free to contribute to homemade (or not so) food to the event. :) There is no specific dress code although to girls who wish to wear baju kurung, make sure your kain is not sampit kay? HAHAHAHAHA! Payah sembahyang karang. We hope to see you there everyone!
